= 2x(x - 4)

b) x2 - xy + x - y

= x(x - y) + (x - y)

= (x + 1)(x - y)

2. a) Ta có M = x2 + 5y2 + 4xy + 4y + 11

= (x2 + 4xy + 4y2) + (y2 + 4y + 4) + 7

= (x + 2y)2 + (y + 2)2 + 7 \(\ge7\forall x;y\)

=>A= -(x2-2x+3)

=>A= -(x2-2.x.1+1+3-1)

=>A=-[(x-1)2+2]

=>A= -(x+1)2-2

Vì -(x+1)≤0=> A≤-2

Dấu "=" xảy ra khi

-(x+1)2=0 => x=-1

Vây A lớn nhất= -2 khi x= -1

=> B= (x2-2x+1)+(4y2-4y+1)+6
