During childhood, I used to feed different kind of pet such as: hamster, dog, rabbit; however, I still my cat the most. Her name is Katy. Her hair consists of three colors white, black and blonde. She has tiny ear, small nose and blue bright eyes, which can glow in the dark. Her hobbies is playing with colors wool rolls and catching mouse. Katy don’t really cat food, she enjoy fish bone, rice and tiny shrimp. Although she eats less, she seems to be energe all day long. Katy and I have great time being together. She is my best friend as she knows how is my inside feeling and sharing my sadness as well as happiness. Whenever I am not in good mood or in trouble, I hug her and feel a cosy breath that sweep all the disappointment. Every evening, I take her for a walk in a local park so that we can enjoy fresh air and she makes more friends with other cats. Cat is an easy-to-feed pet as it is small, obedient. In spite of laziness, it helps us relaxing, protecting house from some insects. Cat is not new to people but its feather is used to make out many cat fur coat and other items of fashion. It is highly recommend that government create a strict law banning on cat thief. Finally, cat is a cute animal; therefore, it needs to be protected and preserved from being eaten and illegally killed.

I have many hobbies, but I reading most. Books are always a good friend to me. It is a good way to improve my vocabularies by exposing many new words.I star to reading book when i in grade 3.my brother inspired me to do that.I usualy share my hobby with my friend and my english teacher.By reading, I get better at concentration because it requires me to focus on what I am reading for long periods. It also opens up the knowledge door for me. Reading books tell me about the world's history, let me see the structure of the brain, or bring me a story of Sherlock Holmes. I think reading is one of the most interesting indoors activity and I will keep this hobby forever.

1. Cách dùng:

Lưu ý: Không dùng thì hiện tại tiếp diễn với các động từ chỉ sự nhận thức như: see, hear, understand, know, , want, glance, feel, think, smell, love, hate, realize, seem, remember, forget,…

 2. Cấu trúc:

- Thể khẳng định:

S + be + V-ing + + O + …

Ví dụ:

I am walking to school.

- Thể phủ định:

3. Quy tắc thêm "s/-es":

• Động từ ở ngôi thứ 3 khi chia thì hiện tại đơn sẽ phải thêm hậu tố "-s/-es":

- Thêm -s vào đằng sau hầu hết các động từ: plays, works, talks, feels, gets,…

- Thêm -es vào các động từ có tận cùng là -ch, -sh, -x, -s, -o, -y: watches; misses; washes; fixes;…

- Đối với các động từ có tận cùng là phụ âm + -y, ta bỏ -y và thêm -ies: studies

- Một số động từ bất quy tắc: goes; does; has.

• Cách phát âm phụ âm cuối -s/-es:

Chú ý các phát âm phụ âm cuối này phải dựa vào phiên âm quốc tế chứ không dựa vào cách viết.

- Đọc là /s/: Khi từ có tận cùng là các phụ âm /f/, /t/, /k/, /p/

- Đọc là /iz/: Khi từ có tận cùng là các âm /s/, /z/, /∫/, /t∫/, /ʒ/, /dʒ/ (thường có tận cùng là các chữ cái ce, x, z, sh, ch, s, ge)

- Đọc là /z/: Khi từ có tận cùng là nguyên âm và các phụ âm còn lại

4. Dấu hiệu nhận biết:

Các từ nhận biết thì hiện tại đơn thường là: các từ chỉ mức độ (always, often, usually, sometimes, never), all the time, now and then, once in a while, every day/week/month/ year, on [ngày], …

Các từ bắt đầu mệnh đề chỉ thời gian (tương lai): when, while, as soon as, until, before, …

Ví dụ:

He goes to school everyday.

We will wait until the rain stops.
