a) 3(x+2) - ( x + 2 ) = 0

3(x + 2 ) = 0 + x + 2

3(x+2) = x+2

=> 3x + 6 = x + 2

3x - x = -6 + 2

2x = -4

x = -4 : 2

x = -2
