I. One of the inventions made in the world of science and technology is the telephone. This instrument has become an important part in our daily life The word "telephone " comes from two Greek words" tele " and " phone". These words mean "far" and "sound". The telephone uses electricity to carry sound over distance. So you see, the two Greek words tell us exactly what the instrument does. When he was 23, Bell emigrated to Canada with his parents and the next year moved th the United States to teach deaf-mute children.
