it is the end of school for us — April and May are nuts. These are days apt to be described by the first paragraph of “A Tale of Two Cities.” Right now I have 3 planning periods a week. (Not kidding.) Plus Special Olympics Bocce Ball. PLUS NHS Blood Drive. PLUS Senior Slide show. PLUS Graduation movie. PLUS Bidding out pulling cable for the new building. PLUS the Technology plan and budget for next year. PLUS tech support. PLUS my book launch for Reinventing Writing to coordinate. PLUS graduating my second child and getting her off to college.

MINUS sanity.

I say this because tens of thousands of you live this every day. This is your life. You totally get this.

To bad no one else does. Don’t expect them to either.

People are going to start casually saying

The School Year Doesn’t “Wind Down”!
And you know they are among the clueless. There is nothing “winding down” about the end of the school year. It is more a complete and total crash. You accelerate until you run into a brick wall and you hope your seatbelt lets you get out of the thing intact so you can limp off to your summer. The first week or so of my summer is spent sipping coffee – staring into space and reading books where stuff gets blown up. I’m worthless because I’m spent. Every shred of everything I had to give is given.

I still remember my first day of school like it just happened yesterday, and it was one of the best days of my life. I live in a countryside, so my elementary school is a small and really old building. That day was on the beginning of September, and I had prepared for it all summer. Both of my parents took me to school at a very early time in the morning, and I were so excited that I could not sleep the night before. I went by that school many times, but that was the first time that I could actually get into and observe everything. My first teacher was also my aunt, and she took a really good care of me. She arranged me to sit at the first table because I was shorter than my friends. I could not make any friends that day, and later I was so sad about it. The first day always be the most impressive day, and I still remember every detail of it. Now I am in highschool, but that sweet memory is always in my heart.

My dream school is a school with grass, leaves flowers everywhere. Outside the school gates, a road so many flowers that leads to the port. The school also has rocking ones to small for you sit, read a book on the halftime. It also has a greenhouse to grow vegetables, flowers, ... The chairs are placed under the old tree. There will be a fitness pool to help your little exercise. The beautiful bird cages are hung under the trees for school more fun. In the classroom, the small flower pots are placed right on the cứa window. I would to have a school integration with nature, make up the cool air.
