There are four people in my family : my parents , my brother and I . My father is forty-four years old. He is a worker in Truong Hai company. He is a jovial man who always tell many funny stories to make us smile. My father s gardening very much as well as watching Tv programs. Un most men , my father s cooking and he cooks very well. My mother is at the same age as my father.My mothers is also a worker . She s cooking and traveling too, so whenever my parents have free time, we go some place interesting to relax . It's a great time. My brother is eight years old. He studies in primary school. He is interested in computer games and sports football .I am now in my final year at the secondary school and in my attempt to win a place at university , i am under a lot of study pressure .However , being the eldest child and the only daughter in my family I try to help with the household chores such as wash the dishes , mop the floor and so on . Members of our family have very close relationships with each other . We often share our feelings, and whenever problems come up , we discuss them frankly and find solutions quickly. In sum , My family is important to me .I love my family very much

Everybody has his or her own hobby. My favourite hobby is reading. I enjoy reading a book when I am free. I started to get the hobby from my father when I was four years old. My father is a researcher so he has a great collection of books on many fields: literature, science, art,…
I enjoy reading because it allows me to explore my own imaginative world. I keep the hobby of reading at least one hour every day. I usually read books at home, in my own room, at my office or at the local library. On my freetime, I can spend hours reading and thinking about facts described in each kind of books.
My favourite author is J.K.Rowling who wrote world-famous books “ Harry Potter”.
For me a good book is not only a true companion but also a well-experienced teacher guiding me through my life. There are a lot of advantages of reading. Reading makes me feel relaxed and calm. It has the miracle to relieve my suffering and my hardship and reveal to me strange and new horizons. I can also learn new vocabularies and grammars. So I can further improve my English. Moreover, it gives me unlimited imaginations. I can learn about different cultures of other countries in the world, too.
Instead of indulging myself in futile entertainments, I am often keen on reading books, which broadens my mind and improves my knowledge.
In a few words, the reading of books contributes to the moral and intellectual formation of a man. I love reading and I love books. I will collect more and more books and I wish I can write my own books in the future.

* About my closest friend :

I have a good friend, her name is Lan. We got to know each other when we studied in the same class in middle school. She is tall and and has a slightly slim body. Lan has long black hair, she takes very good care of her hair so they always straight and smooth. Her eyes are brown, and I think they are as big as the eyes of the lovely dolls. Her hobbies are having snacks, and dishes mixed rice paper, milk tea, fried fish ball etc. always appear in her snack list after school. In our free time, we often visit our familiar shops to enjoy delicious food and chat with each other. Lan is a good student at school, and she is especially interested in math. There is almost no exercise that can challenge her, but sometimes Lan cannot get the highest score since she has a sloppy personality. Despite being a good student, Lan is very modest. She is willing to take the time to help other friends understand the lecture better, and sometimes she helps to check the results of our homework. Besides learning and eating out, Lan also s to play sports. We often go to the pool at the weekends, and swimming is the reason that gives Lan an ideal height at her age. Lan là một cô bé hơi nhút nhát và không thích giao tiếp với nhiều người, nhưng cậu ấy lại có một tình yêu to lớn đối với động vật. Bố mẹ Lan nuôi 2 chú mèo và một chú chó, và lúc nào tôi cũng nghe lan gọi chúng là em của mình.
