Dear Sir,

Thank you very much for your letter arriving a few days ago. It's great to hear from you. I'm sorry, I haven't written to you in such a long time because I worked hard to pass the final exam. Now. I will tell you about everyone's activities to prepare for the traditional New Year.

The Lunar New Year is the most important and significant Lunar New Year festival in Vietnam, along with the Lunar New Year culture of East Asia and Southeast Asia. Before Tet, the Vietnamese have customs such as "worshiping Apple Quan" and "worshiping Tat Nien". Because Tet is based on the lunar calendar, the Vietnamese Lunar New Year is later than the Solar New Year.In addition, they also decorate their houses and streets with bright lights. About 4 days before Tet, people clean their houses, go shopping for clothes at the market, visit ancestors' graves. One day before Tet, they make banh chung and banh giay. On the afternoon of the 30th of the old year, people set up a five-fruit tray and made offerings to the year; and at night, they welcome the New Year together. On the first days of the year, everyone goes together to wish their loved ones New Year together.

This year, I will not go to congratulate everyone but stay home due to the epidemic. But I still welcome Tet with everyone in my family.

On Tet next year, you can come to Vietnam to join our traditional Tet holiday.

I am glad if you tell me about it in the next letter.

I look forward to your reply.

Your sincerely
