1. Keep eating fruits and vegetables It can be difficult to buy, stock, and cook fresh vegetables during the COVID-19 lockdown, especially when parents are advised to limit going out as much as possible. But whenever possible, parents need to make sure there are plenty of fruits and vegetables in their child's diet. Try to buy fresh foods whenever possible. Fresh fruits and vegetables can be eaten right away or can also be frozen to retain most of their nutrients and flavor. Cooking soups, stews with fresh vegetables or other dishes will keep them longer and store for a few days. These can also be frozen and reheated when eaten.

2. When fresh food is not available, use healthy dry or canned food In general, fresh food is always the best choice, but when fresh food is not available, there are many other healthy options that are easy to store and prepare. Canned beans and chickpeas, are a very nutritious dish, and can be stored for months or even years, we can use this dish in our meals in many different ways. Oil-soaked canned fish such as sardines, mackerel and salmon are rich in protein, omega 3 fatty acids, and many vitamins and minerals. Canned fish can be opened immediately with sandwiches, salads or noodles, or processed or heated to serve with other dishes. Canned vegetables, like tomatoes, often don't contain as many vitamins as fresh vegetables, but they are also an option to stock up when it's hard to buy fresh or frozen vegetables. Dried foods such as beans, peas and nuts such as lentils, split dried beans, rice, couscous or quinoa are also very nutritious, long-lasting and delicious, affordable and filling. Ground oats eaten with milk or water make a great breakfast, and can be added to yogurt, chopped fruit, or raisins.

3. Stock up on some healthy snacks

Children often eat junk food at some point during the day. Instead of giving your child sweet or salty foods, we should give them healthy snacks such as nuts, cheese, yogurt (preferably unsweetened), fruit or berries. dried, hard-boiled eggs, or other healthy snacks that are readily available where you live. These snacks are nutritious, fill them up, and help them form healthy eating habits later in life.

4. Limit processed foods

When you can't buy fresh food, you should also avoid buying a lot of processed foods. Snacks, snacks, and packaged desserts are often high in saturated fat, sugar, and salt. If you must buy processed foods, look carefully at product labels and try to choose foods that are low in these substances. Try to avoid sweets and drink lots of water instead. Adding slices of fruit or veg like lemon, lime, cucumber or strawberry to your drink is a great way to add flavor

Watching TV or using a computer can be addictive, even for adults. Parents must prevent their children from developing bad habits, like spending a lot of their time in front of the TV, early on. Not only should parents strictly limit their childrens' screen time, they also need to be role models. Certainly, younger children will need more guidance, while teenagers can be given more responsibility in how they spend their time.

Moreover, watching TV is a passive way to spend time with no social interaction. While this point is not so much about computers, physical exercise and playing with other children are essential activities for a healthy development. Today, people are producing too much waste leading to the fact that the city landfills are nearly full, rubbish is covering lots of rivers and lakes, which causes water and land pollution. To prevent this, we should recycle things like bottle, plastic appliances and papers. Reusing products instead of throwing them away is another method. Besides, we need to process the waste more carefully: sorting out kinds of waste for easy process, collecting organic trash to make fertilizers for plant. Furthermore, reduce plastic bags. You can use papers and leaves to wrap food instead or utilize organic bags which can be reused.

Since several environmental problems have been caused by humans’ forces, we need to act responsibly to reduce the damage that we are doing to the Earth. This essay will explain environmental problems and what governments and individuals can do to address these problems.

Two of the threats to the environment are air pollution and waste. Global warming, which is well-known as a global issue because of its devastating effect on the environment, is a result of gas emissions from factories and exhaust fumes from vehicles. In addition, the increase in human population comes along with a huge quantity of waste, which contaminates the Earth and pollutes rivers and oceans.

On one hand, governments could reduce air pollution in many ways. First, they could introduce laws to put a limit on factories’ gas emissions or force companies to use renewable energy in production. Second, they could also innovate the public transport system to become more convenient and greener. By this way, governments can encourage people to take public transport instead of driving, therefore reducing emissions.

On the other hand, individuals should also be responsible to lower down pollution level in their surroundings. They can take buses and subways or other means of public transportation rather than driving, which could reduce the amount of exhaust fumes from vehicles. Also, people should purchase reusable products and recycle as much as possible to avoid releasing too much waste. For example, Vietnamese people are recommended to use resuable or paper bags when going shopping instead of plastic bags to cut down on plastic bags consumption.
In conclusion, both national governments and individuals must understand the harmful impact they have on the environment and be responsible to ease damage.

Environment means the surroundings in which we all live. It includes every form of living and non-living thing on the planet earth. The major issue these days we are facing is environmental pollution. The harmful pollutants in the environment contaminate the environment and have several harmful effects on biotic and abiotic factors. The major types of environmental pollution include air pollution, water pollution, noise pollution, soil pollution, etc.

Let us have a look at environmental pollution in detail below:

  • Air pollution: Air pollution is the emission of pollutants, chemicals and gasses in the atmosphere.
  • Noise pollution: Noise pollution off course includes the noise created by human activities, public and private transport such as aircrafts, etc.
  • Water pollution: Water pollution is caused due to the discharge of waste water from industrial, domestic and commercial waste in the surface water.
  • Soil pollution: Soil pollution is caused by the release of chemicals due to industrial, agricultural and other activities of living beings.

The environmental pollution directly affects the health of human beings as we breathe, eat, drink and live in this environment. Thus, human beings need to restrict the activities that cause pollution and damage our environment.

Protecting the environment includes the indoor environment and indoor air quality. One way to protect the indoor environment is not to bring indoors any products with surfactants in them. This means switching to safe, non-surfactant cleaners and laundry products. Another way of protecting the indoor environment is not to bring in grooming products that contain phthalates or other volatile organic chemicals or persistent organic particles in them. This means switching to safe, phthalate-free and VOC/POP-free grooming products. This also means switching from manufactured "perfume" fragrances to natural essential oil fragrances, the original perfume material.

Another way is not to bring in bleached recycled paper or plastic products. This includes most food packaging boxes, even organic ones (except for those that have switched to non-bleach/chlorine recycling process products), most meat and poultry trays and plastic wraps, most egg cartons, most ice cream cartons, most recycled school loose-leaf and notebook paper, most plastic bags. Another way is not to walk into the house with your shoes on. The EPA has determined that more than 50 percent of indoor air toxicity comes from petrochemical particulates tracked onto carpets from shoes (worsened when shoe soles are constructed from petrochemical based materials).

Draconian, drastic measures are needed to protect both the outdoor environment and the indoor environment. If our mega-scale free market system worked, we could demand unsafe materials be taken out of production and easily improve indoor air environments, but it doesn't, and we take what we are given while advertising campaigns convince us that what is given is great and the best and that which is what to covet.
