Today if there is any institution which has the greatest influence on us after the family, it is the school. The time that we spend in school are not only time spent in learning and filling our minds with knowledge, but also time spent forming our character, acquiring various attitudes and imbibing basic principles of life. The basic traits of our personality are formed during our school days.

The name of my school is Nguyen Binh Khiem High School. It is situated in the suburb of  Hai Phong city. It is considered to be one of the finest schools in the city, highly acclaimed for its excellent for number of talented students. The school building is an impressive structure. It consists of four three – floor blocks and has about 36 classrooms. Classrooms are spacious and airy.

Two staircases at both ends lead to the floors. The school has a well-equipped library, a well- established science laboratory and two excellent computer room, all of which are situated on the a separate block.

There is an area for learning physical education and sports. Two cemented basketball courts stand in the right corner, while the school’s football field is in the center of the area. On the left center, there are two courts for badminton and volleyball. A small garden full of flower plants surrounds the school building adding to the charm and beauty of the entire complex.

My school has over 1200 students. Our headmaster is an experienced and efficient person who has been at his job for the last 10 years and more. Under his able direction, the school has been obtaining many good result and gain the dispute in the city. The teachers here are well-experienced and knowledgeable in their subjects.

A lot of emphasis are given to character formation, moral education and acquiring good values of life. Although the school environment is rather strict and time-table based, but there is lot of fun and joy in the school. Matches, tournaments, musical shows, competitions, events, etc. make my school life lively, interesting and enjoyable.

I am proud to be a student of Nguyen Binh Khiem High school.

Dưới sự chỉ đạo của thầy, nhà trường đã đạt được nhiều kết quả tốt và giành được tranh chấp trong thành phố. Các giáo viên ở đây có kinh nghiệm và hiểu biết về môn học của mình.

Trường nhấn mạnh vào việc hình thành nhân vật, giáo dục đạo đức và có được những giá trị tốt đẹp của cuộc sống. Mặc dù môi trường học tập khá nghiêm khắc và dựa thời gian biểu, nhưng có rất nhiều niềm vui trong trường. Những trận đấu, giải đấu, chương trình ca nhạc, cuộc thi, sự kiện, làm trường học của tôi sống động và thú vị.

Tôi tự hào là một học sinh của trường THPT Nguyễn Bỉnh Khiêm.

I often call Nhuan Trach Primary School is my second home. School children, though not very large but very spacious and clean. High school entrance and spacious, the two sides is the flower corridor leads straight to the playground and the classroom.

School Grounds are wide, around the yard Poinciana trees and ancient shade cover, with flower beds and lawns green. Listed under the tree row of stone for us to read books and talk after each lesson.

The classrooms are full of tables and chairs, cabinets for learning and also exhibited the post office corner, nice arle. In addition, you also have the other classrooms as music room, computer science, library, classrooms English ...

I even loved the school because here we have good friends and the teachers are always interested to teach and impart knowledge to us. I loved my second home!

Hi, I am learning at secondary school. It is very nice. There are many trees and flowers in the schoolyard. There are over six hundred students and about 45 teachers in my school. Dong Ho painting or Dong Ho folk woodcut painting is a genre of Vietnamese folk paining, stemming from Dong Ho village ( Dong Ho commune, Thuan Thanh district, Bac Ninh province). A long time ago, Dong Ho painting used to be a precious decoration to celebrate Tet Holiday; Vietnamese people bought Dong Ho pictures to hang them on their wall for a year, and then replaced them by new ones when a new year was coming. Dong Ho painting has become a vivid symbol of folk culture in Vietnam and a source of inspiration for poets and musicians of many generations.

Apart from the beauty of lines and layouts, the folk feature of Dong Ho painting also lays on its color and paper; both are handmade and derived from materials available in nature. The paper is made of bark of tree named “do” and powder of seashells and glutinous rice whilst colors of paint used in Dong Ho pictures are processed from various kinds of natural materials easily found in Vietnamese villages. While seashells bring a sparkling white background, glutinous rice makes the paper more supple and able to conserve colors for a long time. The black color is taken from ash of burned bamboo leaves; the red is from red gravel; the yellow is from flowers. All colors are so striking and lively that you seem to see the whole Vietnamese villages through each line, each color block.  

Regarding themes of Dong Ho painting, it should be noted that the folk picture is a fine reflection of daily life, culture values, social philosophies and human aspiration for a better life in years coming; therefore, everyday life, folk allegories, social commentaries, mythical and historical figures, signs of happiness, luck, prosperity are main subjects of the painting. If you would to wish your beloveds prosperity, happiness and luck, pictures named “Lon dan”, “Ga dan”, “Chan trau thoi sau” would be your best choice for a gift. Should you are keen on Vietnamese social commentaries, pictures of “Hung dua”, “Danh ghen” are good bets.

Just be fond of Vietnamese legendary figures, try “Ba Trieu”, “Thanh Giong”; meanwhile, “Dam cuoi chuot”, “Truyen Kieu” are for those who fall in love with Vietnamese folk stories. To find more information about Dong Ho painting, you had better to plan a trip to Dong Ho village, having talks with old craftsmen about the origin as well as the ups and downs of such invaluable folk pictures and witnessing the process of making those paintings. There are only two families in the village that continue to conserve their traditional handicraft while others are engaged in making votive objects such as paper money, paper puppet, or even paper motorbikes and cars to make their living. After stress and pressure in life, one always has a place to come back called home. I love decorating my own bedroom. My bedroom is on the second floor near my parents’ bedroom. There is a double bed for my younger sister and me. I usually lie above her so that it is easier for me to study late at night without annoying her. The room has a big wood wardrobe, which contains all of our clothes such as: dress, jean, t-shirt and sock. Beside, my mother bought us a dressing table on my 15^th birthday; therefore, I put all the makeup-stuff and bandeau here. In the corner stand a large bookshelf in order to store books, academic document as well as family passe-partout. Next to it is a table with a desktop so as to help us investigate more knowledge on the internet. My sister and I really enjoy decorating the room with sker such as: mickey, boo bear, hello kitty, angry bird and so on. Beside, we also sk glow-in-the-dark tape on the ceiling and it turn out to light when darkness comes. Moreover, the room is designed with pink and deep blue so it brings us cozy and fresh feeling when putting step into it. The bathroom is in my room too. It is quite small but always clean and restful as we tidy it up every week. My father suggests having a bathtub; however, we don’t agree since we enjoy having a shower instead of lying in tub. Bedroom is a resting place after a hard studying day; hence we always clean it up so that it is neat and comfortable.

I love the Olympics. It really is a unique and special world occasion. There’s only one event in the world better than the Olympics, and that’s the Football World Cup.

Anyway, the Olympics really is a celebration of humanity. The whole world watches and gets excited. We love watching our heroes trying to win gold.

I don’t usually get excited about seeing my country’s flag, but at the Olympics, I love it. I think the Olympics were better many years ago. Then, they had traditional Olympic sports.

Nowadays we have professional tennis and baseball stars playing in sports that aren’t really Olympic sports.

I would love to see an Olympic games. Maybe I’ll be lucky and get a chance to see the London games in 201....
