I. Hỏi giá cả, giá tiền bằng tiếng Anh

- Có rất nhiều cách để hỏi giá một món hàng, tuy nhiên thường sử dụng một số mẫu sau đây

How much is it? (Giá của nó là bao nhiêu(chỉ vào đồ cần mua))
How much is it to go to the cinema? (Đi xem phim thì giá bao nhiêu?)
How much is it for the ket? (Giá vé bao nhiêu?)

How much does it run? 
How much does it run for?

Hai câu này cũng có nghĩa là hỏi về giá cả, đừng bối rối khi nghe thấy từ “run”

How much does it cost? 
How much does it cost to go to France? (Đi Pháp thì tốn bao nhiêu tiền?)
How much does it cost for the coat? (Cái áo khoác có giá bao nhiêu?)

How does it sell for? (Cái này bán thế nào vậy?)

How will it cost me?
How will it cost us?

How much are you asking?

How much do you charge to travel to Thailand? (Phí du lịch Thái Lan bao nhiêu tiền?)
How much do you charge for this house? (Bạn bán căn nhà này giá bao nhiêu?)

- Ngoài ra bạn có thể thay thế chữ “how” trong những câu hỏi trên thành chữ “what”, trừ trường hợp của “How much is it?”

Ex: What are asking for the umbrella?
What do you charge for this house?
What does it run for?
What will it cost me?
What does it sell for?

- Nhưng thường là các câu hỏi “How much?” vẫn là phổ biến nhất
 

II. Cách đọc giá (USD)

- Khi đọc giá theo USD, sẽ có hai cách đọc, một cách đọc ngắn và một cách đọc dài
Ex: $1.45

Long: one dollar and fourty five cents 
a dollar and fourty five cents
Short: one, fourty five

$18.99
Long: eighteen dollars and ninety nine cents
Short: eighteen, ninety nine

- Nếu sản phẩm đó có giá trên 1000USD thì bạn buộc phải đọc theo cách dài
Ex: $4,432.99
Four thousand, for hundred, thirty two dollars and ninety nine cents

$14,986.37
Fourteen thousand, nine hundred, eighty six dollars and thirty seven cents

- Bắt đầu từ $.01 đến $.09 thì số 0 phải đọc là “o” chứ không được đọc là “zero”
Ex: $9.05: 9 o 5
9 zero 5

$15.03: 15 o 3

- Nếu sản phẩm có giá dưới 1 USD thì ta phải dùng đến đơn vị cent chứ không dùng dollar
Ex: $0.99: 99 cents
$0.30: 30 cents

- Ngoài ra trong đơn vị tiền tệ của Mỹ, chúng ta còn có 5 cách đọc khác nhau của từng lượng tiền
Ex: $0.01 = 1 cent = a penny
$0.05 = 5 cents = a nickel
$0.1 = 10 cents = a dime
$0.25 = 25 cents = a quarter
$1.00 = 1 dollar = a buck

III. Cách trả lời giá
- Cũng giống như hỏi giá, khi chúng ta trả lời giá cả của một sản phẩm nào đó cũng rất đa dạng

Ex: It’s $58
It’s about $37
The umbrella sells for $9
Three kets go for $40
It’s priced at $100
