At now, there are two streams of opinion on government spending, some people think that the government should spend more money on creating human-like robots to ease the lives of the elderly. Others strongly believe that the money should be spent on the elderly, not on robots. My opinion is that I agree with the idea that the money should be spent on the elderly and not on robots for the following reasons:

Firstly, the elderly are people who are 60 years old or older and most of them don't need to work and work to generate money for their families anymore. They have devoted their youth to raising their children. and create value for society, so it is wrong if they do not enjoy and have legitimate rights. That's why we have to spend a lot of money to create human-like robots to help the elderly while they hardly need to work hard. I think what they need is to enjoy old age rather than keep working by controlling robots.

Secondly, creating human-like robots not only requires a lot of money and time, but also pollutes the environment and consumes energy. And if they are created to help the elderly, it is really unnecessary because The elderly need most is not a robot with human-like abilities, but people who care about them. Especially their children and loved ones. It would be ridiculous if the government created robots to help the elderly. and their children don't need to help and care for them anymore because they already have a robot. Robot is just a machine, it's not a human, it has no feelings and doesn't know how to love and even If it works tirelessly or can do a lot of heavy work, it's not something that the elderly need.

Thirdly, the elderly are often susceptible to many diseases such as stroke, high blood pressure, heart failure ... easy to fracture bones and a weaker immune system than young people. So investing in the system Health care system for the elderly is a very necessary thing. In addition, although not all old people have good economic conditions to live, the government needs to provide financial support for the poor and elderly people who cannot afford it. working so they can have a better life or at least be able to eat full and stay healthy. I believe that's what every old person needs, not a robot that can do heavy work but can't eat as well. medical examination is not possible.

Finally, old people often have poor memory and brains are no longer as flexible as younger people. So if creating robots to help them do heavy work, it will be very difficult for them to control robots and use them. into daily work.

For these reasons, my position is in favor of the government spending money on the elderly, not on robots. At least spend most of the money for the elderly and the rest to create a small number of robots for the elderly who still want to work and have a good memory to flexibly use the robot.

Thank you for reading my opinion and I hope I can see yours in the comments.
